Support services company Connaught has announced a massive boost to profits, up 37 per cent in the first half of the financial year.
The Exeter-based firm, which reported success in its social housing division, revealed pre-tax profits of £8.1 million in the first six months compared to £5.9 million this time last year.
Predictions for the firm's future also look positive with reports of an order book worth £2 billion boosting the board's confidence in 2007's financial performance.
Describing the company as having a "unique competitive position" and a "strong management team", a statement from the firm said the expected earnings and financial support for business growth meant Connaught was confident for the future.
The results for the first half of the financial year demonstrated Connaught's "strong position in both the social housing and compliance markets," chairman Mark Tincknell said.
"Connaught has carved out a unique competitive position, has a strong management team and the financial capacity in place to support its growth plans. We look forward to the future with confidence," he added.
