Professionals in the IT sector have spoken out on what they most value in terms of appearance during an interview with a potential employee.
According to a poll undertaken by Robert Half Technology, 35 percent of respondents said that a formal business suit is the best way to dress for those searching for IT jobs.
A further 26 percent said that khakis and a collared shirt is a suitable outfit for an IT interview.
Executive director of Robert Half Technology Katherine Spencer Lee said that employers are looking for someone who has made "the effort to dress appropriately for the work environment".
She added, "If you're working with a recruiter or an HR (human resources) representative, he or she can advise you on how to dress appropriately."
Earlier this month, the Indian ministry of statistics revealed that it is considering overhauling its system of monitoring the country's employment rate and stated that current methods are not enough to keep track of major changes.
