The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) has released a guide detailing how Human Resources (HR) and recruitment agencies can work together to improve their services.
Developed jointly with the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), the guide explains how HR experts can develop mutually beneficial agreements with agencies.
Additionally, it gives advice on how recruiters can increase their presence in the market and build their reputation.
It also sets out clear advice for agencies on how to become the agency of choice, deliver their clients' needs and build credibility in the marketplace.
Nicola Monson, research associate at the CIPD commented: "Adopting partnership relationships on a more consultative basis with recruitment agencies will place HR in a much stronger position to overcome their toughest recruitment difficulty and achieve their number one resourcing objective."
In related news, the Monster Employment Index reported a decrease in online recruitment activity last month.
