This year's Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) conference is set to address the issues most important to human resources professionals of late, it has been claimed.
Nina Harman, head of conferences and exhibitions at the CIPD, revealed that the organisation has used feedback from last year to find out what is most important to those in the industry.
Topics on the agenda this year will be the effects of the credit crunch, effective talent management and business strategy, she commented.
Speaking to hrzone.co.uk, she said: "For us, it's about getting the right format, the right topics, the right features, the right showcases on the exhibition floor and making sure that what we are offering is relevant."
The annual CIPD conference is usually held in Harrogate, but it was announced earlier this year that the 2009 event, scheduled for November, is set to be held in Manchester.
