Recruitment has been named as a desirable career by a new study.
According to the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), which has released results of its Salary and Benefits Survey, recruitment is a desirable option as employees in the sector have high job satisfaction, onrec.com notes.
Recruiter magazine and Saffery Champness were also involved in the study, which found that the industry has high remuneration packages.
RECs director of research Roger Tweedy comments to the publication that it is now seen as an attractive career option.
Furthermore, Mr Tweedy states that the level of education held by employees in the industry has increased.
"Recruiters these days are increasingly well qualified with over a third holding a degree and a further one in ten holding a post-graduate qualification," he remarks.
Competition for jobs in the industry is hotting up as the demand for quality workers is increasing, he adds.
The REC represents the recruitment industry and is the only professional body to do so.
