Call centre grant to create over 500 jobs
More than 500 call centre jobs could be created in Scotland after a firm secured a grant from the Scottish Executive.

Call centre firm Telecom Service Centres (TSC) is to receive a grant of £1.4 million from the organisation, which will help it to open a new centre in Kilmarnock.

The centre will originally employ around 100 members of staff in both full-time and part-time roles, but TSC hopes to expand this with a further 430 positions in the future.

"I am very proud of the fact that a Scottish company has made such an impact in such a highly competitive sector," said TSC's CEO, Ken Hills.

TSC currently has around 3,000 employees in nine locations around Britain.

The company is one of the largest contact centre firms in the UK and its clients include Vodafone, HSBC and the Department for Trade and Industry.
