Call centre firm to create 350 new jobs
Call centre company Be Cogent has announced that is to create 350 new jobs in Scotland.

The company already has 1,800 staff in Lanarkshire, Erskine and Ayrshire and now plans to take on additional employees at its Erskine site.

The firm operates national call centres for companies including John Lewis, Argos and NTL/Telewest.

Be Cogent's executive chairman, Dermot Jenkinson said: "For every company off shoring, there's a company returning to the UK - the true test that service levels provided here are unrivalled and the business benefits significant."

The company was founded in 1999 and has become one of the top ten UK providers of outsourced contact centre services.

Last week, the company was honoured with the Employer of the Year Award in the Orange National Business Awards for Scotland.
