Businesses losing millions due to computer reboots

Businesses are losing out on millions of pounds each day due to computer reboots and loss of productivity.
A new study by foundem.com has discovered that some staff reboot their computer once a day and may have to wait four minutes for the machine to reload, the Daily Record reports.
This results in 1.1 million hours of work are lost each day due to technical faults.
A spokesman for foundem.com said that the results were "alarming" and that "something is wrong" if employees are rebooting their computers at least once a day.
"If business were aware of the money this is losing them, I'm sure they would treat their IT support problems more seriously," he remarked.
He added that 50 per cent of the respondent companies did not have the right resources to deal with IT problems.
