Protestors against the closure of the company's south Wales factory today began co-ordinating a Valentine's Day global protest in London, Paris, New York, Chicago, Strasbourg and Las Vegas.
They will be handing out cards saying "stop Burberry breaking our hearts".
GMB union is coordinating the protests. "GMB members and supporters will explain direct to shoppers outside the Burberry stores in these cities our demand that the company reverse the closure of the South Wales factory," a spokesperson for the union said.
The fashion label announced last year plans to close its Treorchy plant in south Wales, prompting a campaign to save jobs and keep the factory open. The campaign gained support from actor Ioan Gruffudd, a former global face for Burberry.
Burberry's move will cost 300 jobs.
Responding to the global campaign, Burberry said that almost half of its workforce will still be based in UK and insisted it is still focused on finding alternative employment for staff at its south Wales plant.
"Our focus continues to be on re-skilling the workforce and finding alternative employment close to the site in Treorchy, in the Rhondda area of south Wales, for staff still looking for work," said a spokesperson.
