Working from home is becoming a popular notion with Brits, according to the latest study.
Conducted by insurance company Zurich, the research reveals that the nation's offices are moving towards flexible working with Brits choosing to work from home more often.
A third of staff in the UK worked from home at some point in the last month, the survey found.
Furthermore, one in ten workers spent 40 hours in the past month at home instead of in the office.
Zurichs managing director of retail Mark Searles comments that staff are looking to improve their work/life ratio.
"We are going to see the popularity of home working rise and rise as both workers and employers seek a better work/life balance," he notes.
However, workers must ensure their office equipment is properly insured, he adds.
Bosses were recently urged by WorkingMums.co.uk to adopt flexible working practices in their offices.
According to the website, mums are a "huge pool of talent" that employers should tap into.
