Barclays Wealth has announced it is to recruit a further 800 staff around the world.
Chief operation officer at Barclays Wealth Frank McGarahan commented that the firm is looking for talented individuals to help take the company forward.
"Clients expect and demand personal attention and a tailored offer that is delivered professionally and efficiently," he said.
"Only by recruiting the best talent across all levels will we continue to expand our successful wealth business."
Global head of human resources at the company Phil Smith added that this drive would help to support the infrastructure of the rapidly expanding business.
The roles are to be created in areas such as project management, investment operations, risk management and human resources.
Furthermore, not only will positions be created in London and Glasgow, but also in Geneva and Singapore.
The company manages £93 billion of assets and has recruited 1,700 staff internationally since starting out in 2006.
