Robert Half director Richard Dunks commented that negative attitudes must be dealt with effectively as they can waste energy, time and money, onrec.com reports.
"It is important that this kind of conduct is identified and immediately dealt with so that the appropriate focus on customers and the business can be resumed," he remarked to the publication.
The firm stated that difficult employees should be dealt with quickly and in a calm and relaxed manner.
Corrective action should be taken and external help sought if necessary, the firm added.
Dr Steven Saunders, a workplace consultant of Steven Saunders & Associates, agrees that negative attitudes from employees can be detrimental.
Dr Saunders states to the news source that poorly behaved staff can encourage other workers to join in with the negative behaviour.
