Department store House of Fraser is still celebrating its Christmas, with sales figures showing a 7.3 per cent rise in same-store sales over the Christmas period.
Its strong performance is even merrier when compared with the store's previous year performance, where sales were up by 7.7 per cent throughout its 61 stores for the four weeks to December 30 2005.
"The company is also pleased to report a strong operating performance through the period, with margins being in line with expectations," said House of Fraser.
"These strong figures show that House of Fraser remains the customer's number one choice for designer brands."
House of Fraser is owned by Icelandic company Baugur. It was purchased last year in a deal worth £351 million. The group also owns Iceland supermarkets, Mappin & Webb jewellers and iconic British toystore Hamleys.
