Today (January 7th) could be one of the busiest days of the year for online recruitment agencies, it has been claimed.
According to iProfile.org, jobseekers are now likely to be putting Christmas behind them and starting their hunt for employment once again.
The company claims that it expects record volumes of CVs to be uploaded and sent out to employers this year because of the increased number of people made redundant due to the credit crunch.
An employment lawyer also believes that 60 per cent of people made redundant in the later part of 2008 will search for employment now.
Rick Bacon, chief executive officer of iProfile.org, said that "January is always a hectic time in the recruitment market, as many people reflect on their career over the Christmas period, even making finding a new job their New Year's resolution".
According to Star-Telegram.com, jobseekers should make sure they thoroughly check their CVs for spelling mistakes and grammatical errors.
